“Ghanaians Are Not Poor!”
….President says at NPP Congress 2017.
His Excellency the president of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo – Addo, said confidently at the New Patriotic Party’s 25th annual delegate’s congress in Cape Coast yesterday that “Ghanaians are not poor people”. He said that the “current state of poverty Ghanaians are experiencing was due to bad management”.
Nevertheless, His Excellency implored Ghanaians to be patient and continue to believe in the NPP because the NPP is bent on delivering on their promises. “The last thing I would want to hear is people saying that Nana Akufo Addo lied to Ghanaians and what he said he could not fulfill” he added.
He promised that the wealth of Ghana will be disseminated fairly and will touch every single Ghanaian in due time under his leadership.
Ex – President John Agyekum Kufuor also graced the stage at the rally. He encouraged members of the NPP to remain committed and united as that was the only way of retaining the party in government. He applauded the young men and women who came out to support the event.
Ghanaian musicians, Praye and Nana Boro, entertained the crowd with some of their hit songs including a new song that championed the ‘one district, one factory’ programme. The crowd cheered throughout the rally at the Victoria Park.
