M.ANIFEST CONFIRMS HIS ‘GOD EMCEE’ TITLE WITH A STAND IN THE RAIN CONCERT! ……University of Ghana students get wet for M.anifest in hall week celebration.

Students of the University of Ghana, Legon, stood in the rain while jumping in excitement and reciting lyrics from songs of award winning Ghanaian Hip Hop artiste, M.anifest, yesterday at the ‘Artistes’ night’ as part of activities lined up for the Elizabeth Sey Hall Week celebrations.

The rains began as soon as it was time for the Afrocentric rapper to mount the stage. Organisers of the event began moving up and down in panic as the murmuring of the students were signs that the show had abruptly come to an end. But it all changed when the fireworks were lit and the ‘god emcee’ took to the stage in his laid back but confident swag. The climax of his performance was when his masked Dj threw on his reply to Ghana’s biggest rap artiste, Sarkodie. The song, ‘100%’, was recited word for word by the crowd as they danced to the indigenous African rhythm and melody that comprised the tune. M.anifest was supported, on stage, by Worlasi, whom he featured on the hit track.

After performing his hit song ‘100%’, M.anifest bid the crowd farewell and left the stage. But the electrified crowd yelled his name, while standing in the rain, until organizers were compelled to bring back the hip hop star for another but brief performance before the closure of the event.

There were other spectacular performances of the night by multiple Ghana Music Awards winner, Kofi Kinaata, the Queen of GH. Dance Hall, Ebony Reigns, and rising talent Kwesi Arthur among others. There was live Dj mixing that kept the crowd dancing during intermissions between artiste performances. The event was sponsored by Myghpay and GT Bank.
