This Valentine’s Day in Accra, award winning actress Jackie Appiah, Jasmine Baroudi, Top model Ian Wordi, and a host of others, will be on the red carpet at the Silverbird Cinemas at the Accra mall for the premiere of the movie ‘My Partner’s Enemy’. The producer of the movie ‘Hilda Lamptey’, described the film as the best gift this Valentine’s Day. She said this in an exclusive interview with Shine Publications in Accra yesterday.
‘My Partner’s Enemy’ is a romantic drama that tells a tale of jealousy and love in the Ghanaian setting. The movie is scheduled to premiere on the 14th of February 2020 Valentine’s Day at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra. The timing for the release of the movie has been described as perfect by the producer ‘Hilda Lamptey’. “People should come and watch this movie because Val’s Day is a day specifically for love, and this is a romantic story that talks about the true test of love and just how much are we committed or willing to give to achieve it”, she said.
The producer of the film also mentioned that it was their intention that this movie generates an international appeal and reaches other audiences. “We chose Jackie Appiah for this film because we wanted an international artiste who was capable of selling this movie across boarders”, she explained.
‘My Partner’s Enemy’ illustrates the reality of a criminal who fails to show at his wedding after falling in love with a prostitute. He returns after so many years, only to interrupt the wedding of his former to-be- bride to another man. The story unfolds from there with Jackie Appiah as the prostitute and the legendary Kalsum Sinare as the wicked auntie.
