‘Steel Pulse’ and Charterhouse Promise a Night of Fun and Memories at Concert Today in Accra

Legendary Reggae band ‘Steel Pulse’ will perform today at the Grand Arena in Accra with award winning Highlife musician Kojo Antwi. The concert coincides with the 63rd independence celebrations which commenced yesterday. The Chief Executive Officer of Charterhouse Theresa Ayoade, said that both ‘Steel Pulse’ and Kojo Antwi were strategically paired to give Ghanaians an unforgettable night of good music and an opportunity to relive the glorious days of roots Reggae music. She said this at a press conference at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra yesterday.
The Chief Executive Officer of Charterhouse Theresa Ayoade yesterday at a press conference in Accra explained why they chose to bring legendary Reggae band ‘Steel Pulse’ and legendary Highlife musician Kojo Antwi together for a concert this year. “This year marks our 20th anniversary and also the 25th anniversary of our partner ‘Multimedia’, hence, we thought what could we do together that would be so ‘epic’ and get Accra buzzing; as well as connect the youth. So, we chose ‘Steel Pulse’, and then we asked who was ‘epic’ enough to collaborate with them, and then we thought ‘Kojo Antwi’. So, we are geared up for a great experience on Saturday, and so make sure you are there and don’t wait to be told how exciting it went”, she explained.
Also present at the conference were the founding members of the legendary Reggae band ‘Steel Pulse’. The lead singer of the band ‘David’, described the concert as part of the mission of their entire career. “We are dedicated to you the fans, the city Accra, and the entire country Ghana. When we started doing music, it was all about trying to connect with the Diaspora because, coming from the United Kingdom as young people, we always had opposition with regards to racism, police brutality and a poor schooling system. So, we went on to form a band based on the fact that we wanted to know ourselves and identify with the motherland Africa. So, everything that we did from then till now was about having Africa in mind “, he explained.
‘Steel Pulse’ will be joined today at the Grand Arena by multiple award winning Highlife musician Kojo Antwi as he has also promised to bring the best of himself to the concert.
