The representative for Ghana at this year’s Miss Ecowas Pageant in Senegal Portia Oteng Adoma, disclosed to Shine Publications a few days ago that though she is almost always indoors due to the Coronavirus crisis, she is making good use of her time by preparing for the Miss Ecowas Pageant due June this year. She said she is hopeful that by that time, the Coronavirus would have been brought under control and the pageant would come off. She said this in a telephone interview from her residence in kumasi.
After competing in Miss Malaika Ghana, Portia Oteng Adoma is not slowing down with her dream of being on an international stage. The dark skinned beauty explained how she was focused on the reality of participating in this year’s Miss Ecowas Pageant in June despite the Coronavirus pandemic. “The presence of the Coronavirus is not holding me back but is actually giving me more time to prepare myself towards the competition and also build myself; even though I am mostly home”, she said.
She added that though some a people are gaining weight due to boredom and being idle, she on the other hand need not worry about her weight as her physique was naturally fixed. “I can even eat fufu at 10pm and my shape will still be intact. Also, I don’t go to the gym or stick to a special diet to maintain my physique. It’s natural and remains the same no matter what I eat. But, I think it’s normal because I have friends who also say that they eat quite a lot but still don’t gain weight”, she explained.
Portia Oteng Adoma is a level 300 student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology studying Publishing. She is also a professional model and recently modeled for a fashion brand in Ghana alongside celebrity Ghanaian filmmaker and musician Kobi Rana.
