After showing for over 5 years as a 30 minutes television programme on some television stations in Ghana, entertainment television programme WatsUp TV, is now airing 24 hours on a new digital frequency. The Founder of WatsUp TV ABD Traore stated that viewers can now enjoy more musical content from around the globe. He added that the journey has not been easy, nevertheless, he said he was grateful and remained focused to expanding the entertainment platform to reaching a more global audience. He said this over the weekend in an exclusive interview with Shine Publications at his office in Accra.
The Founder of Pan African music television show WatsUp Tv ABD Traore, has asked television viewers in Ghana to tune in to the new WatsUp TV 24 hour channel to enjoy the best of non stop music. “Just rescan your tv sets to locate WatsUp TV. We now have more music from all over the globe, exclusive interviews with top celebrities in Africa, credible music charts, and more. It’s non stop entertainment”, he said.
The new WatsUp TV 24 hour channel has been received with excitement by some top Ghanaian musicians as this will allow for more airplay and promote for their works. Artistes like Epixode and Efya have already praised the initiative as relevant and a necessary addition to the media community.
The WatsUp TV 24 hour channel launch coincides with the 6th anniversary of the entertainment TV show. The Founder ABD Traore expressed his joy but also stated that the journey hasn’t been smooth. “I happy that we have come this far. This means we are making progress. But, the beginning wasn’t easy; it has been sleepless nights and hard work, but it has finally paid off with support from good people. I’m so grateful and humbled by this”, he said.
Telecommunications giant Vodafone a few days ago was announced as an official sponsor of the show in addition to other affiliated brands namely RUSH Energy drink.
