Ghanaian Pioneer Executive Music Producer ‘Agiecoat’ was honored last week Friday at the maiden edition of the Ghana Social Media Business and Creative Arts Awards at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra. According to the organizer Elis Adjei, both of them had impacted their immediate societies through their work.
Popularly known as ‘She Loves Stonebwoy’ Ayisha Moni has earned quite a number of eye balls on social media for some of her very passionate videos and revealing comments on mostly entertainment matters. She was therefore awarded the ‘Most Vibrant Instagram Account of the Year’. In her company, was also another honorary award recipient ‘Agiecoat’. Both have been described by the organizer as individuals worthy of praise. “We presented an Honorary Award to veteran music producer ‘AgieCoat’ for his immense support to the music and entertainment industry in Ghana, and we chose Ayisha for having used her influence on Instagram to be able to positively impact the music career of Ghanaian multiple award winning artiste ‘Stonebwoy’; as well as inspire a community of young fans in to supporting positive and uplifting lyrics in music”, he explained.
Both Ayisha Modi and Agiecoat represent the present and the past of ‘breakthrough music’ in Ghana respectively. Ayisha Moni is one of the unmistakable faces attached to the successful dancehall international acts ‘Stonebwoy’, and ‘Agiecoat’ who once financed the most expensive music video in Ghana in the late 90’s with music duo ‘Buk Bak’, is a reminder of what the good old days used to be.
