‘Nanky’ Wins Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2021 Unsung Artiste

28 year old singer ‘Nanky’, has emerged overall winner of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (V.G.M.A) Unsung Artiste of the Year. He won the keenly contested category after competing with other talents. As his prize, he will perform at the main awards night of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards on Saturday the 26th of June 2021 at the Grand Arena in Accra. The V.G.M.A Unsung Artiste of the Year initiative has been supporting upcoming musicians by showcasing them on major media platforms across Ghana and Africa since 2015.

Rising 28 year old Tema based Afro-Pop, R&B, and Highlife singer ‘Nanky’, was on Friday 18th June 2021 announced winner of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ‘Unsung Artiste of the Year’ on TV3’s ‘Showbiz 360’ hosted by Giovani Caleb. He won ahead of his competitors Oseikrom Sikani, Adelaide the Seer, Koby Tuesday, Kwame Yogot, Malcom Nuna, Queendalyn and Naana Blu.

The Unsung is an initiative to project underground artistes who need the platform and exposure to make it to the mainstream music industry. Previous years have seen winners like Lynx Entertainment signee Kuami Eugene, Afrobeats artiste KelvynBoy among others.
