Mr Drew wins ‘New Artiste of the Year’ at Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2021

Ghanaian Dancer and musician Mr Drew won the award for the ‘New Artiste of the Year’ at the 22nd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which came off on Saturday 26th July 2021 in Accra. He beat 9 other nominees to emerge the winner. On receiving his award, he stated that he was grateful to the dance industry for turning him into what he has become.

It’s was an inspirational statement to Ghanaian dancers across the nation from Mr Drew on the night when he won the award for ‘New Artiste of the Year’. “A big shout out to everybody. Also, big shouts to all the dancers out there. I am representing for the dance industry, I came from the dance industry, I am a Dancer and then I turned into a musician, and Today, I am the ‘New Artiste of the Year”, he said.

Mr Drew won against 9 others namely Amerado, Bosom P Yung, Dead Peepol, Gyakie, Kofi Jamar, Kweku Flick, Larruso, Yaw Tog, and Camidoh.

After a quick survey a few minutes after the event, Mr Drew was one of the top 3 names that emerged as best performers for the night.
