Ghanaian Journalist Promises to Promote Peace after Receiving International Award

Ghanaian Journalist and Actor, Isaac Kofi Dzokpo, has stated that he would continue to strive for a peaceful planet even in the face of challenges. He stated this in a recent interview in Accra some days after being awarded as ‘peace ambassador’ by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF ). He added that the award was an added responsibility which he was ready to carry.

After receiving the ‘International Peace Ambassador’ award at a ceremony held on Wednesday 7th July 2021 at the premises of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) Ghana. , Isaac Kofi Dzokpo has pledged his readiness to continuously lead the agenda for peace in order to make the world a safer place for all and sundry. “This is an honor and I am indeed grateful. Let me also assure you that I will continue to push the agenda for a world were peace is not a privilege in Ghana and beyond”, he said.

Previously at the ceremony, the National Secretary-General of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Ghana Dr. Helen Osei, stated that it was essential for the media to work towards sustaining peace in Ghana; as well as globally, adding that, there is the need for the media to promote the values of interdependence, mutual prosperity, and universal values.

The award was conferred on Isaac Kofi Dzokpo in Accra at the premises of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) Ghana. He was also inducted as an Executive of the International Media Association for Peace (IMAP) the same day.

Universal Peace Federation (U.P.F), is an international and interreligious network of individuals and organizations, including representatives from religion, government, civil society, and the private sectors dedicated to achieving world peace. It was founded by Rev. Sun Myeun Moon in 2005. It also has a special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
