Actor Anthony Woode received praises from many of the patrons for his performance in the movie ‘Fifty Fifty’ which premiered yesterday at the Silverbird Cinemas at the Accra Mall. A statement from one of the patrons rated him as her favourite character in the movie with the most memorable performance. Anthony starred alongside popular actors Yvonne Nelson, John Dumelo, and Majid Michel in a story that mixed romance with deceit, betrayal and some action.
Some of the people at the premiere of the movie ‘Fifty Fifty’ expressed their satisfaction with the film; especially Actor Anthony Woode. “I like Mawuli, John Dumelo’s little brother; especially when he was being tortured because, his acting was believable. I also liked the ending of the movie because, it showed the importance of family; how a brother would stick out for his brother and that really resonated with me”, she explained.
Another patron at the movie premiere, who witnessed actor Anthony Woode for the first time in a movie, described the actor as her favourite in the movie. “It was worth coming out to see… It was worth coming through the rains … I like John Dumelo’s brother (Anthony Woode) in the movie”, she said.
The movie was well patronized, despite the heavy rains in Accra. According to a representative of Silverbird Cinemas, there were a minimum of 7 shows that night.
Actor Anthony Woode is solidifying his gradual takeover as the face of the new era of movies in Ghana.
