Actress and Film Producer Rabby Bray has been awarded the ‘Woman of the Year’ at the first edition of the ‘Accra Music & Arts Awards’ which happened some days ago at the Grand Casamora Hotel in East Legion, Accra. According to Prince Kwaku Newman of ‘Gh. Events’, organizers of the ‘Accra Music & Arts Awards’, the award represents excellence in leadership and mentorship.
Actress Rabby Bray celebrated her win with an emotional statement in an exclusive interview. “When you set off on a mission, you would be discouraged and feel like giving up. But, now, I understand it’s part of the process. And, I also understand that if it doesn’t kill you, it will make you stronger. This award is a big encouragement to me and I truly appreciate it. I am humbled and also honored indeed to receive this award”, she said.
Explaining the criteria for the ‘Woman of the Year’ award, a member of the organizing body Prince Kwaku Newman said, “The award is given to one who has demonstrated excellent leadership skills within their community and has a visible impact on other members in the said industry and community. One who is dedicated to mentoring within and outside her industry, provided support for rising artistes, and been actively engaged in career coaching. Also, should have demonstrated integrity in actions and words, and portrayed an image of strength and confidence that inspires”, he said.
This year, Actress Rabby Bray produced and starred in the movie on unemployment titled ‘Drops of Happiness’ which also featured award-winning Actor Adjetey Anang, and was successfully premiered at the Silverbird Cinemas. She also produced her own reality show for upcoming actress called ‘Rabby’s Starlet’ which also concluded successfully.
last week Saturday, Actress Rabby Bray was invited to join the Spanish Embassy in Ghana at the official launch of the Spanish Film Festival in Ghana.
